Mid-Terms be coming~

They be coming~

As folks may or may not know, time seem to fly by in University…That and there’s not a lot of time in between major assessments to begin with. My psychology mid-term is on the 18th, and biology following that one week after.

For those in Canada, our Thanksgiving day this year is the 13th, which gives us the first three day weekend since school started. Since I’m living away from home, I’m planning on returning to Toronto. As well, I’m actually planning to relax a bit when I go home. The consequence of this, of course, is that I’ll have to spend extra time reviewing before and possibly after the long weekend.

I’ll be putting more emphasis on studying for my two up-coming exams starting today. My F/HA translations will most likely continue because it’s what I use to relieve stress. If I think of an interesting topic I might write it out as well, but my activity for the next three weeks or so will be…lower than usual ^^;;

Just one more thing:

I got a question the other day about how I manage my time. Truth be told, I prioritize, but don’t manage. My routine goes something like this: On regular days (nothing excessively long such as labs), I’d hit the library after my final class to review the material of that day. This usually last 2-3 hours, which then I’d go back to my room, look at blogs/facebook, and eat dinner. After dinner I’d go back to my room and surf the web for around 30 mins (when you’re digesting, more blood is sent to the stomach, which means less for the brain). It would normally be 7-7:30ish at that point, and I’d go back to the library until either I’m done or I get kicked out (at this point, it would be 10:30-11, 11 is the time when announcements go off, and in a place where you can hear yourself think, it’s extremely freaky). That’s pretty much how my day goes, except for the weekends, since I have physics lab/tutorial that lasts until 5:30, after which I’d eat dinner and go to Anime club meeting. Weekends I usually wake up at 11, and studying begins at 1-2 and ends at 11, with probably an hour or so of online time somewhere in the middle.

If there are questions, drop a comment and I’ll contact you by email.

One more thing: If anyone thinks they found me on facebook go ahead and add me, kthx

For those in Western, I live in 2G of Taylor Library, come and visit! Please =3

JSA BBQ

Yea…I’ve also joined the Japanese Student Association of UWO. Today is the first meeting so I attended. Plus, there’s free food, which is always good since money plays a big part in your life if you’re otaku XD <- why do I sound like a cheapskate >.>

I have no idea what to file this under, so I guess I’ll stick it under otaku since it’s Japanese-related.

Yellow Dolphin Road

Some random crap the guys on my floor pulled.

So this is what they did: They stuck a whole bunch of sticky notes with poorly drawn dolphins (for those who don’t know, “dolphin” is Danny’s lingo for the male reproductive organ, more specifically, “the shaft”) on the ceiling. They dubbed it the “Yellow ‘dolphin’ road”, which stretches from the end of the hall seen above and just past my room, which is about 80% of the hall. I’ll leave the rest to you ^_^

I didn’t participate by the way, just so you know…

Habits and Lifestyle

A short update during my off hour between classes. I might have some time later this evening to work on my translations and I’ll try to complete the majority of it today. Pretty much, in this post I’d like to know how you guys keep track of stuff.

Busy busy…

Just a short post as there has been no entry over the weekend.

Busy probably isn’t the right word. A lot of stuff has been happening recently and in order to keep up with my studies (which I’ve falled behind somewhat) I had to stuff myself in the library for long hours. The majority of today spent with the Chinese Student and Scholars Association of UWO (which consisted of a lot of Chinese people) and to compensate for that, I spent like seven hours in the library on Saturday.

Enough excuses though, I’ll get to my point: I’ve yet to complete the first scene translation of F/HA. The SumiSora guys’ use of language is a bit too complex for me to translate perfectly, but as a Type-Moon fanboy I promise that I’m doing my best. Another excuse here is that I’m still not well from my sickness, but that probably isn’t counting for much. Oh, that and James got me addicted to eBay. On top of everything, I’ve been suffering from insomia for the past three days (only 12 hours of sleep over that period, that’s after a 31 hour no sleep period).

I have to prep for my Calculus, Chemistry and Physics lectures right now. Process on translation is about 25% (without editing, which I’d have to do several times before I’d publish it), I’ll really have to set up a schedule for these stuff, since I have absolutely no free time on Mondays and Wednesdays. Once again, I’m really sorry.

Western Anime Video Explosion First Meeting

So yea, it’s finally Friday and it’s also the first meeting of the university Anime Club, which I’ve been looking forward to for god knows how long.

Origins of Life on Earth

Thanks to my roommate who wouldn’t allow me to sleep properly for the fourth time this week (do note that it’s Thursday when I’m writing this), I was forced to down a cup of coffee when I went to study. The caffein is coursing through me right now and I can’t sleep. So right now, I have absolutely nothing otaku related to blog about, so I’ll do a recap of an interesting lecture I had today.

Mmm Mmm good?

Clubs Week~

Thank you for all your kindness and get well wishes. I’m feeling much better ^^ (too bad the same can’t be said for my roommate, he caught the cold from me, I told him not to stay up late playing Spore -_-).

Anyway, the clubs at my school finally set up booths for recruitments. Unfortunately, it’s not as glamourous as I thought it would be…

I didn’t take that many pictures today because I was looking for the anime club, not that there’s any interesting shots to take anyway.

First day of Classes

Classes unofficially started (we all know that the first day of class you don’t do anything anyway). I just got back from the library and still planning an offical entry (that has some kind of meaning), so here’s another filler.

It’s been 4 days since I got here, and well…I’m already being overrun by random stuff. Here’s the content of my bag after I got back.

I spent an hour and a half reviewing calculus >.>

My desk is getting messy as well, hopefully it won’t get any worse…I have several dolphin protectors as well that I currently can’t find…

4 Days ago my friend and I moved in…and already we produced this much garbage. I had to clean up the garbage can on the second day because it started to smell x.x

Right now, my friend and I are trying to enhance our memory (from that hypnosis CD we bought the other day). I’ll let you guys know how well that works.
