Start of the Year Stuff

The biggest problem with living on campus (aside from rowdy freshman drunks and parties) is the fact that you’re dependent on the reception people in the front desk for mail (the other thing is constantly getting kicked out at the end of the year). Vita should have arrived a few days after I left in 2009, and the HLJ box was sitting with the other boxes when I checked, but like the case with Saber Lily I got no notice for the package’s arrival.

Snacks in China

A friend of mine returned to China recently, and he’s posted pictures of snacks that he purchased there on Facebook. Apparently they’ve got an even wider variety of western snacks than we do, with interesting flavours that is, along with some not-so-usual snacks of their own. Now, I’ve not been back to China ever since I left (which would make this my 9th year here in Canada) so I honestly have no idea about this. Also, I’ve not tried these, but my friend did and I’ll just be using his ratings and critiques (yes I got his permission to do so).

Let it snow Let it snow Let it snow…

I honestly don’t know what to say. It began as a cold rainy day yesterday morning and rain turned to snow in the afternoon. The snow continued and is still falling as I am writing up this post.

Apparently, this isn’t just happening to London. My friend at Queens told me that Kingston is also getting snow. What about the rest of Ontario? Or Canada (is Vancouver also getting snow?)

Gundam 0083 OP Karaoke LOL

While waiting for Rin and co. to send me pictures for the meet earlier, I guess I’ll hijack something someone posted on DannyChoo that I can’t get out of my head.

Anyway, as everyone knows, when singing Japanese songs most people would have the sounds written out in English and sing that. I’d like to know if it’s the same case in Chinese (since I never go sing ‘K myself, and most Chinese people won’t sing Japanese songs anyway).

I’m assuming it’s the Cantonese “karaoke” version of the Korean 0083 OP. That or the guy just have too much time on his hands.

Oh, at around 1:01, 自动装哂 means “automatic equip to self” or “automatic put on” or something like that (哂 is pronounced shen in mandarin, which is close enough to 身， this part I guessed though). I’ll leave you with the rest.

Reading Week Randomness

For those who don’t know, Reading week is basically the equivalent of spring break in Canadian universities/colleges (my condolences to those in York U.). Well, I kind of disappeared in the past two days due to poor organization of events and several other factors.

Happy Chinese New Year~

Happy Chinese New Year everyone. I’m not sure how many comrades really celebrate it, but it’s a big thing for Chinese folks for the very least.

I went home for some relaxation this weekend. Didn’t get much work done as usual although that was expected. Had a break from the usual cafe food, and yeah, now I’m back and I need to work on that stupid physics question that’s been driving me nuts all weekend >.<

Does Santa Exist?

I’m going half crazy over stuff that I don’t even know. Exams are coming and I’ll be returning to Toronto on the 16th, and that’s pretty much all I’m looking forward to right now. Anyway, as you probably could tell I’m lacking many things, including something to write about. Actually, no, here’s something interesting that my psychology prof showed us in class.
