It’s kind of like Christmas

Well, as noted by yesterday’s post, I was amidst in organizing my junk as I’ve just moved into a new place. Among the stuff include every single package (figures, the box of DVDs I opened a few weeks ago) that I ordered in the previous four months.

I originally imagined a happier moment when I’m doing this. Regardless, opening up a bunch of packages of figures did lighten my mood a bit.

Another New Package

Yeah, things are slowly arriving. This package came from a store that I’m buying from for the first time. BigPfeiffer is a manga store (that sell figures and other stuff as well) stationed in Halifax. Because the store is Canadian, one must factor in the conversion rate between CAD and Yen (right now it’s 1 CAD to 85 yen). On top of that, they do flat rate shipping of 7.5 CAD per order. That’s pretty good considering the size of this thing.

The only problem is that, as the store is based in North America, things get here slower, and there’s also the slight chance that we don’t get enough of said product. This package was actually overdue, not because of the post office or the store. The (one of the) receptionist of my residence building didn’t give me the notice of when the package arrived. I ended up talking way into getting her to check the packages for me, and, as luck would have it, it was there.

New Figures Get!

Oh wow, EMS really is fast. Item was shipped out on Monday and it was sitting on top of the stairs when I arrived home. I went volunteering early today, hoping to get out early so I can pay the courrier, but it turned out that I had no fees and my tenant signed the papers for me.

This just made momentarily forget the $160 CAD debt on my visa card thanks to the purchase ^^;

HLJ Sale Loots Have Arrived

The last of my wave of packages have arrived. Finally I won’t have to worry about my stuff arriving at the wrong time and my parents biting my head off because of that XD

Yeah, HLJ isn’t willing to send me a box big enough to hide a body, so I ended up with two boxes even though it’s just one single shipment.

New Package

I got a notice yesterday for a package which failed to deliver since no one was at home, and today I went to the nearest *local* (I actually live closer to a post office in the boardering city) post office to pick it up.

The first thing I noticed is that this package is not from Amazon, therefore it’s not my air brush. It’s a package shipped from Hong Kong, and that could only mean one thing.

March + April Loot and Backlogged Stuff from 2008

I had to have my purchases shipped to my friend because I was afraid that I’d run out of space in the car when moving out of residence at the end of the year. However, since he’s the one that has to pick up the stuff from the mail office, I can only yell at him on the phone and nothing else. I have no idea when my April package arrived, but I know it arrived before yesterday and it was today when he decided to get it. This, this post was delayed.

Sale at HLJ

Not living at home doesn’t stop me from browsing sites and making my friend pick up the stuff I buy and paying the customs for me. Yeah…^^;

Anyway, I was browsing through HLJ’s sales section and I found some pretty good deals, which I placed orders on. Some things are up to 70% off (Jeez I sound like a tool)

Reading Week Randomness

For those who don’t know, Reading week is basically the equivalent of spring break in Canadian universities/colleges (my condolences to those in York U.). Well, I kind of disappeared in the past two days due to poor organization of events and several other factors.

It started two days ago, on the 17th.

OMG it Finally Arrived!

With my constant rants about this over the past week folks are probably aware of what I’m waiting for. Well…After waiting for 21 days (today is day 22), my package finally arrived!
