Our club anniversary is drawing near and every year on the third Saturday of January, Western Anime Video Explosion hosts a 10 hour long show, sometimes there are games to be played and prizes to be won. This afternoon (WordPress runs on a different time, so this happened on the afternoon of the 20th), the current club president and I went to the only anime store in town to pick up prizes. It’s my second time going to the store, though I wasn’t very helpful at picking out prizes (I suggested getting a Miku plushie, but I’m probably the only few in the club that knows who she is).
It’s my second time visiting that store, during my first I found nothing of interest. This time they’ve got several figures, all for decent price due to the fact that I’m the only active figure collector in town. But no, I didn’t buy any (and no, there were no Saber figures), I did come back with something else though.

Yeah, when browsing the plushies, this instantly caught my eye, even though they had them stashed on the bottom shelf (and I second guessed myself until the clerk confirmed my suspicion). Yes, it’s the lion plushie that Saber has.
Saber’s plush lion is actually a prize that Taiga won from a game of some sort (it was explained in one of the scenes in Fate/Hollow, when Ilya saw Saber playing and wanted one too). I don’t recall from the game that Shiro bought it for her (if Saber did pick out the figure in the game, there would be a CG of it, so no, it actually never happened in Fate/Stay Night). The one Saber owns is an exclusive and supposedly of high quality, this…It’s nice and not so expensive ^^; (I paid 16 bucks). Plus, it’s cute and looks kind of funny :3

@Radiant: Manga, DVD rentals and misc. small stuff like plushies I guess. Our club spent a decent amount each year there (though it’s usually for special events, not regularly).
