Due to some last minute packing, shopping and gathering in the previous few days (as well as lacking stuff to write about in general), I have been somewhat absent. Well, here’s the first bit of something interesting in the rather dry last week or so. Now, as most of you may know, summer is over and I am therefore back in London to continue my studies. I left Toronto at around 9 in the morning.
It’s actually pretty funny how these guys are super nice and all when you first arrive. If you return as an upper year, you don’t get any of that treatment. In fact, they don’t even help you park in front of the building when they’re busy! Luckily I passed myself up as a freshman and got free moving service XD
Compared to my room last year, this one is clearly smaller because I’m the only one living in it (though I share the bathroom with a soph and a kitchen/living room with him and two first years, not that I care because I won’t be around much anyway).
My mom took the above shots ^^;
It took me a while to set up my stuff after my parents left, mainly a result of managing space (I had a bigger desk and a bigger shelf last year) here’s the result:
The used book store ran out of multivariable calculus texts (three times I’ve been directed to single variable calculus) and they didn’t have my required physics text either. I had to buy them brand new orz.
I didn’t bring a whole lot of figures this time because I know I’ve got a couple arriving later this year (and it was a pain moving them back last year). Also, I have very little desk space this year, so there won’t be room to display everything once I’ve got more stuff coming in.
The next thing on the agenda is to hit the stores tomorrow to get milk and a new alarm clock (I found out mine was broken when I arrived orz). I also have to pay my first year biology prof a visit to report on my lab experience for the summer (and to somehow tell him that I’m not taking genetics), as well as try to convince various profs to confinue the prototype scientific-journal club (becasue it was originally made for first years only).
As classes begin this Thursday, I probably won’t have a lot of time for myself. Posting schedule will change, I’ll submit my proposal this weekend or something.

nice digs! It looks cleaner and more open than your last year room. Awesome job in making it more homely, but I think you can do a lot more for it. Seriously, consider getting a fern. I really livens up the room significantly.
Figures + wallscroll + oppai mousepad. The perfect college set up ^^.
Have fun with multi-variate calculus
I’m actually more interested in the view you get from your rez. I remember my second year res facing the arboretum…it was a gorgeous view.
But that is a really small room…like the one I had for my first year.
Thats quite a spartanic room youve got there!
The wallscroll looks pretty cool!
Where di you get it from?
Havent found a shop that has stuff I like so far
