Currently I’ve been chipping away at F/HA, and I’ve decided to come back and shoot out a few more translations before school starts chipping away at my life force once again.
We all know that the Fate/Stay Night anime, based on Unlimited Blade Works is coming out early next year. As I’ve been playing through the game, I was reminded that Caster will be having a major appearance in the movie as I hit this scene. Well, without saying much more, here it is.
Since I’m actually playing the game, I have my own choice for screenshots. Therefore, I’m doing the scenes in a different way from before. Tell me what you think.

Location: Ryudoji Temple Day 4
Shiro, Caster, Assassin
Arriving at the gate of Ryudoji temple.
On top of the long flight of stairs…
“Oh, good morning.”
Below the mountain gate, there’s a shadow of a figure who is sweeping.
It wouldn’t be so weird if it were one of Ryudoji temple’s monks, but it’s that Caster
On top of that she’s wearing her cloak…Strange. What’s the deal with someone like her cleaning the grounds in the middle of the day?
“Ah, if it isn’t that kid. Do you need anything?”
“…Even you know about cleaning?”
I asked because it seems rather surprising.
Well, it shouldn’t be all too surprising, because she is a residence of the temple after all.
“Heh, I just want the place to be a bit cleaner, is there a problem?”
“While wearing that grab…It’s that all right?”
Other clothing…such as regular clothing you wear when you go into town.
If she wears something else, people will think that it’s some random believer who is sweeping.
“What’s your point?”
“Nothing…Right, isn’t there a gate keeper? Why not ask him to sweep?”
Isn’t Assassin Sasaki Kojiro always standing by the gate?
“…Ah…”
She sighs in front of me.
“If that man is of any use, I wouldn’t have to work this hard.”
“But he’s always idling around.”
“Yes, he is always idling around. I told him many times already, to go sweep the grounds if he has nothing to do.”
“The only thing he gains after eating is his mouth work, saying stuff like ‘It’s too bad I’m only a spirit, I don’t have any free will. I wouldn’t mind if you give me an order, but that’s not your style right? Adopting physical form and sweeping requires Mana; compare that to the amount of mana spent when Master is holding a broom, which is greater? Need I say more?’ That’s the crap he keeps telling me! What do you think, kid!?”
“…”
It seems like having minions is very tiring thing.
On top of that, Assassin’s reasoning is impenetrable.
Don’t look at Caster’s appearance, she’s actually truly, a more gentle and old fashioned magus than Tosaka.
Someone who refuses to waste mana until a time of importance. Truly, it’s too inefficient to make Servants materialize and do grunt work.
“…Ha. I should have summoned a youngster who’s understanding and candid. Just like you, kid…”
Caster looks at me from head to feet.
Whoa, it seems my body temperature suddenly dropped.
“It’d be great if I had a young Servant who can cook, clean, and do laundry as a familiar…”
“Umm…Thank you.”
Is she praising me, or is she mocking me on the fact that I’m useless as a magus? I think it’s a bit of both.
Caster suddenly looks up at the gate with an unpleasant expression.
“Are you listening, Assassin?”
“Uh huh.”
He’s nowhere in sight, only his voice is present.
“I was talking about you. Compared to someone who does nothing but sleep all day, this kid is much more useful than you, do you understand?”
“Well said. Swordsmanship is useless. Farming the fields is for true heroes. Ah, I’m no competition compared to the boy.”
Kojiro is still using his leisure voice talking to the angry Caster. Are they really of Master and Servant relation, it’s hard to tell.
“Or, would you like to use a Command spell?”
“Ku…”
“Haha, nice expression. I haven’t seen that in a while…You’ve been happy to the point of relaxing, so I’ve getting quite bored.”
Kojiro continues to tease her.
I always knew his words always had thorns in them, but it’s really something else to be talking to Caster like this.
“Hmph, that’s all right, just continue your job as a watchman. The original idea was to demote you to a janitor if you don’t do your work properly.”
“Hahaha. Ok, I’ll do my best.”
Kojiro’s voice stops.
…It’s really hard to interject when they’re fighting.
“Just like that, kid. Do you understand now?”
“Do you…want my help?”
I thought she’s implying that, so I asked.
Did I say something unexpected?
“Even though I’ve thought about it before, but you really don’t seem to know the situation. If you helped me, won’t that make Saber, who’s already treating me like an enemy, hate me even more?”
“Saber won’t get mad if I just help out with the cleaning. Sweeping the stairs from top to bottom would be quite tedious right? So…”
So do you…need help?
It’s not like I have anything else to do, a bit of help won’t invoke any unwanted wrath right?
Ha- Caster sighs again.
“…That girl, she sure took up a nice apprentice.”
“That girl…Tosaka? Tosaka did always order me around
“Ah, it’d be best if I refuse. If Issei sees me with you, there’d be more confusion.”
“I see, too bad.”
“It’s nothing right if it’s you. But if it’s Soichiro-sama, then that’d be something else.”
Kuzuki-sensei cleaning with a broom…Sweeping silently without a word, it’s really easy to imagine.
With Caster accompanying her, it’s like an image of the wife following the husband.
“Heh”
Laughter emerged from the top.
“What are you laughing at, Assassin!?”
“Nothing. Just looking at you, seems like you’re so disoriented with Soichiro-sama this and Soichiro-sama that it seems like you can’t even tell where north is. That’s why I’m staying here and not caring what you do.”
“Balderdash (sounds more appropriate than BS at least, they mean the same thing)…a..and what’s this being disoriented? I refuse to let you insult Soichiro-sama!”
“Oh dear, excuse me for being a hooligan who doesn’t know how to treat his master properly. I haven’t the slightest clue on how to treat the master of my master.”
“Get down here, Assassin. I have a lot to talk to you about regarding this matter.”
“Oh, that’s fine with me, but are you fine with stopping your cleaning work?”
“I’ll leave the part in front of the gate to you. Time is precious and I’m very busy. I still need to wax the floor of the main temple.”
“Is today the cleaning day or something?”
Waxing main temple floor is a really big task.
If I get caught by Issei, he’ll for sure pull me to help.
“GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!”
“Don’t be hasty…”
I won’t interrupt them, I’ll leave them be
I gently nod my head at them and enter the temple.
