Comiket 76 has just ended and no doubt a lot of blogs have had coverages regarding the crowds, the various booths as well as previews for the upcoming goodies that will drain our wallet for days to come. As I stepped over to SumiSora to check whether they have released the full translation (the patch previously released was ver 0.9), I found something rather interesting.
And no, ver 1.0 of the patch still isn’t released >_>

Apparently, there was a screen that showed the trailer for the upcoming Fate/Stay Night movie. For those who did not pick up on the news, the story will be based on the Unlimited Blade Works path. That much was confirmed in words only, but the trailer now solidifies that statement.

The video is taken by a camcorder, but still pretty clear to view. Most of the trailer showed stuff that were in the anime, the events that occured in the first three days (ie. events that occured before the paths diverged). There are some bits that are not in the anime but are highlights to the Unlimited Blade Works path (including a brief glance at the epic fight scene).
The movie is set to be released in Japanese cinemas on January 23rd. It will probably be quite a while until we who are outside of Japan get to see it.

I haven’t watched the anime yet. So how is the movie different? Is it a continuation? Or some sort of spin-off?

Yeah I just watched the F/SN thanks to your post XD. I think that we’ll have to wait for the movie DVD/blu-ray to be out before we get to watch it ._.

Tho I guess they’ll pull a large crowd in due to the “saber being “tortured” by caster” bit of the story.

I got to be honest though, I still need to watch the anime. I have not had the chance to dive much into Fate/Stay Night. Tried watching it a few weeks ago then got sucked into Kannagi.

@Radiant: Nasuverse consists of infinite parallel dimensions, the events covered by this movie are independant from the anime (well, from the point where the paths separate).

@GundamJehutyKai: Heaven’s Feel requires a series because the events are rather scattered. Personally, I didn’t like that path as much as I did the others.
