Well, it isn’t the first time where game producers have tried to boost their sales by coupling limited edition figures with their games (Fate/Unlimited Codes and that Haruhi Wii game to name a few), and it seems to have worked pretty well so far. Now, seeing as we are still in global recession, companies are really resorting to devious methods to milk our wallets. Now, presenting Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s Portable – The Battle of Aces, for the Play Station Portable (stating the obvious really).
Ultimately though not a whole lot of people actually cares about the game, it’s all about the figure that comes with the game. Bundled with this game is a figma of Takamachi Nanoha (Loli) and Yuuno in ferret form.
The gameplay doesn’t look much better than Magical Battle Arena. As this game is based on Nanoha A’s, there’s only four playable characters – Nanoha, Fate, Vita and Signum.
However, that’s not the real point. The real deal is with the limited edition bundle, with is the one that comes with the exclusive figma. (and possible a method for them to counter homebrews).
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s Portable – The Battle of Aces will be released in Janurary 21st of the year 2010. The game costs 5229 yen but the limited edition set will cost 13629 yen. Be sure to reserve yours because I’m pretty sure just like Fate/Unlimited Codes, a lot of folks will be aiming for that figma.
Attention Mr Optic and Zenical, it’s my turn to poison you back.

Glad I’m not much of a Nanoha fan.
They’d do anything to milk every penny out of our pockets. I’m sure she’ll get a lot of hype though.
Ahhh thank god… for a minute there(before I scrolled down to the pics of the figma in question) I thought they were bundling the first season Nanoha figma. That wudda been depressing….
@T.I.P. : Well, it is the recession, and they know Nanoha is popular ^^
@Meimi: Yeah, the movie versions will be released separately.
Oh yeah I read bout this news. Hm.. if Nanoha is with the game, I won’t get it. I’m only aimming for Feito actually. XP.
haha! didn’t poison me =P
LOL
I’m not even a tiny bit interested in getting it given the fact
1) Too plain.
2) Exclusive figmas has always been overpriced when getting it alone.
3) I already have other and affordable Nanoha figmas I want.
Looking from the bright side, I know ur a bit interested yourself. xD
The poisoning didn’t work back on Optic this time? lol
Like Fate/Unlimited Code, this game is likely to be one of those where people buy the bundle for the figma with the game being the bonus/omake. In Chinese people said “買FIGMA送GAME”, rather than being the other way round ^^;
I would seriously just buy this game for the included Figma XDDD MUAHAHAH
I agree with Q:
it’s all about 買 Figma and throw away the game…trust me, Fate/Unlimited Codes is not a game worth playing…you can try it on my PSP when we meet…you’ll find the game play really bad like how I did…still, if only Gundam Vs Gundam Next had the same thing with a figure of a gundam or character from any of the series. Having said that, GVsGNext would be a hit title none the less even if they didn’t give away figures.
>> GNDynames: worry not the reccesion is said to be almost over…Or worse I think ^^;
@Zenical: If only the maker had seen this comment earlier LOL
@optic: Well, I tried. I personally don’t dig this figma that much either, and I’ve already decided not to get the school uniform figmas.
@Q and Robostrike: Yes, I have thought it that way as well, because I had no interest in the game when F/UC was announced. However, the price… >_<
@Argyle: If that is what you want, go for it!
@Gunstray: I'm no economist, so I have no idea. As long as the value of the Canadian dollar is high, I'm fine ^^;
LOL. I think the makers know fairly well that Feito is very famous XP.
@Zenical: who knows…who knows…
[...] figma for the shinai. The second, of course, is the price tag on the game bundle. No doubt from previous example, it’d be anything but reasonable. Of course, the third factor in play is that getting the [...]
