Fate/Stay Night Movie Announced

On top of an anime adaptation in 2006 and a manga in 2005, the TYPE-MOON mega hit Fate/Stay Night will now be played in wide screen theater in the form of a movie!

Given the fact we got the OTACOOL contest going on, I thought I might as well join in for some fun. Well, with that came a bunch of pictures of my room. So I thought I might as well put them together into a post. My next figure will be the Figma Signum, which won’t really make a huge impact on the overall looks anyway.

The voice of Ayako Kawasumi

Ayako Kawasumi （川澄 綾子 Kawasumi Ayako) is possibly most famed for her role as the voice actress of Saber, who…well…If you managed to find your way over here you would know who she is. She is also referred to as Ayasumi (for me, I call her Ayako-sama), the Chinese fanbase calls her 川澄姐 （Kawasumi-nee).

Being a seasoned seiyu Ayako-sama has had many roles throughout her career (maybe not as much as…say…Kikuko Inoue, but they are really quite old). However, the voice she used for Saber is actually pretty far off from the kind of characters she usually voiced. As luck would have it, I’ve found a video composed of many roles that Ayako-sama played in.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha

Well it’s not so often that I pour my heart out over an anime like this. Fate/Stay Night was one of them, though at that time I’ve yet to start blogging nor have I some how seemingly out of the blue learned to write opinion pieces like these.

No Signum? ;_;

Long story short, it’s a great anime, great enough that I’ve thought of enough stuff to write a decent article about it. I tried to keep spoilers down to  a minimum, but read at your own discretion.

Also, keep in mind I’ve not finished StrikerS yet, all opinions are directed to Nanoha and Nanoha A’s.

Maxfactory Figma Signum

First off, I’d like to say that the harbinger of the news is Yuuichi-kun. So actual credit should go to him. Please do drop by his blog and check it out, it’d at least make me feel better. So anyway, he posted the link to figma blog, which has just been uploaded with the latest pictures of the figma Signum, intended to be released at the end of this month (July 29th, almost literally the end).

The Princess and her Knight: Saber and Iris by Alter

Fresh from the chronicles of the fourth Holy Grail War told by the light novel Fate/Zero, it’s Saber (in a suit zomg!) and Irisviel!

It costed me an arm and a leg to acquire them, but I am so glad I acquired them into my collection. This Saber makes my 10th Saber (Lion and Alter included, my incomplete resin kit excluded) in my collection. Well, without further ado, on with the pictures!

MG Wing ver Ka.

As stated earlier, I have completed my MG Wing in quite a short period of time considering all the other stuff I did during the day.

This is the only Gundam kit that I will be building this summer. I used a different approach when building this guy, whether it looks better or worse than my previous projects, I’ll let the viewers decide. I guess the first thing I should state is that I air brushed this kit (aside from two parts).

Also, I was planning on doing the shoot of Saber and Iris this afternoon as well, but I couldn’t find a power bar to support the additional lights.

New Figures Get!

Oh wow, EMS really is fast. Item was shipped out on Monday and it was sitting on top of the stairs when I arrived home. I went volunteering early today, hoping to get out early so I can pay the courrier, but it turned out that I had no fees and my tenant signed the papers for me.

This just made momentarily forget the $160 CAD debt on my visa card thanks to the purchase ^^;

Wing Assembly Complete

After hours of painsteaking tinkering with various equipments that have been giving me a ton of grief, I have finally completed this kit!

It’s kind of late, with the energy saving bulb in my room, it is not ideal for photoshooting (I’ve pushed the aperature setting of my camera to the limit, still no good). I’ll be saving my review for tomorrow or Friday, when I have the chance to take some decent shots. With that said, there are still a few things that I’d like to get off of my chest.

Using lacquer thinner to thin paint and then hand painting said paint resulted in epic failure, even more so when I used it to strip paint (note the texture of the left [your right] knee cap). Second, the panel lining was a huge pain in the butt and finally, I freaking hate dry rub-on decals. They seem to stick at the worst possible time, a pain to put on, and even more painful to remove. One decided to stick to my hand, gah! Yeah, that’s all.

Also, imaginary cookies to the person who can guess where my title came from (it’s a reference to a game, though I’ve changed one word to suit this post).
