Fantasy a Modest Maid: Rider

This is my second shoot with her, as I mentioned in yesterday’s post the reason why I disposed of the first set of photos completely. Anyway, I decided to finally adopt some of the techniques that more professional figure photographers use, but I still came up short in terms of the equipment.

I used the tutorial on HappySoda for this shoot. However, at the time I forgot to use a reflector on the other side. On top of that I feel the background I picked does not suit Rider very well. Comments are appreciated as it is my first time doing this kind of shoot.

Rider now completes my collection of the Fate girls (except Irisviel, which a Wonfes figure exists for her, and other characters which were not made into figures, namely Taiga and Caster).

These costumes were actually never worn by the characters (I think Rin did put on the outfit though). They were in Shiro’s imagination in one of the stories of Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. Which reminds me, I need to continue that, I’ll do that tomorrow, I promise.

Unlike Saber, Rider’s skirt is way too long for panchira shots. However, like the rest of the GSC Fate/Hollow maid figures, her skirt is cast-offable.

The reason why she was causing me so much grief the other day is that her glasses are originally off, and you need to put them on yourself. As mentioned before, it was after the shoot that I realized her glasses were crooked. It’s a real pain to put them on.

  1. Not too shabby for the lower half being removable. Of course, the wrinkles from the arm placement don’t carry over, but meh. Still a very nice figure.

  2. Oooh her original thigh high under the skirt. Very cool. The pictures are pretty good albeit a bit dark. A nice Rider figure nonetheless ^^

  3. The figure isn’t quite the type of figure that I like. Somehow the pose seems a little too plain.

The figure also seems to be a little underexposed in your pictures, but maybe that was intended.

  4. @Neir: That’s a problem with a lot of the cast off figures.

@Lightninsabre and Aaron: I knew I should have stuck with the white background >.< I was short on change the other day so I bought only the neon pink one.

  5. That reminds me why the hell are there no figures of Taiga?
    I really like her ^^

I really like this Rider but id prefer a Kickass Rider.Too bad those are sold out or crappy
