As the school year approaches to an end I find myself staring once again at my CD wallet, which contains my anime collection which…I originally intended to watch. To say the least I managed to see a few series, and that’s about it. Kind of funny how nothing works out as planned.
The stuff I have are either from recommendations or from “Oh look, she’s cute, let’s get the series”. I love romance anime, but most have sad endings which pains me T.T, that and I have a bad habit of dropping a series randomly for no apparent reason.
Now, let’s see what I have on my backlog list:
- Lucky Star (stopped on episode 13, gotta finish it, I saw the OVA though)
- Mahoromatic 1 and 2 (stopped 2/3 through 1, because if got too emotional for me)
- Vampire Knight
- Shakugan no Shana 2 (watched 1 here, didn’t start 2 yet)
- Bamboo Blade (finished ep 4)
- Darker Than Black (friend recommended, took a glance at it)
- Innocent Venus (friend recommended, no idea what it’s about)
- To Heart and Remember my Memories (went through most of it and I really liked it, still I have no idea why I stopped watching it)
- To Heart 2
- Baccano (friend recommended, no idea what it’s about)
- Romeo and Juliet (got bored of it since I was forced to read the play)
- Shuffle and Shuffle Memories (one of those that caught my eye)
- Clannad
- Spice and Wolf
- School Days (dare I?)
- Prism Ark (another one that caught my eye)
- Claymore (I don’t see what the hype is about)
- Onegai Twins (somehow I felt it didn’t live up to Onegai Sensei)
- Maho Shojo Lyrical Nanoha, all three seasons
- Zero no Tsukaima (currently watching, almost done 2)
- Love Hina
- Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
- Death Note
- Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de (I think I dropped it because it lagged me when I played WoW. Apparently I don’t have it with me even though I remember downloading the whole series).
- Kino no Tabi (saw the first four episodes and the special (Ayako-sama voiced in the special, I picked out her voice right away XD) and decided to get it and watch the whole thing)
Errr…Yeah…That and I haven’t seen any other fall/winter season anime except Gundam 00 Season 2. I wonder if I’ll ever catch up T.T

Ah join the club… I may seem to have watched a lot of anime, but there are a lot of backlog on my part. A lot of series I started but never finished, like Excel Saga, Noir, Rahxephon, Tenchi Muyo and lots of other ones that people would call “classic”…
I don’t know if I should kill for not finishing Lucky Star…
On second though maybe I should cause you didn’t watch Ghost in The Shell…
Drop everything and watch all that anime!!!!!!!! or the next time I see you…I shove all that anime into your brain!!!!!!
Wow that’s quite a backlog there. I only watch a few at a time, or else I’ll either lose control or lose track of things really badly.

Go do it right now! Its one of those pearls that sadly dont get the attention they deserve.Whats it about? Think about Pulp Fiction way of storytelling meeting the 30s Film Noir.
I highly recommend it! Its only 14 Episodes (including OVAs) anyways.Youll get what my Blogs name is all about aswell
Another very big recommendation from me is Kino no Tabi.Its a really great Anime that covers so many faces of humanity.It isnt fast paced or overly thrilling but the stories told are simply beautiful.The last story especially touched me ^^

You need to be open for a bit more thought provoking Anime though
Ahhh…Love Hina.Thats probably the Anime that made the whole Harem Genre popular.Its a bit dated from todays view but still fun.

Everyone is probably going to tell you to watch Clannad and GitS/Death Note, so I’ll be unique and suggest that you check out Darker than Black. It was enjoyable for me to watch from a casual perspective, but it’s also the kind of story that churns out something new as long as you keep digging at it.

If you like magic and romance you shoud watch Zero no tsukaima , it has 3 season
