Well, I delivered. I worked on this thing for the majority of yesterday after I headed back from my calculus exam, which, unless if I’ve made some retarded mistake that I didn’t detect after checking over the test twice (and I picked out 6 mistakes during the process), I should get 100%.

I don’t know how to actually describe this, since F/HA has a much more relaxing setting compared to Fate/Stay Night and there’s not a lot of conflict. As you could see from the picture, Rin appears in this scene, so yea, keep reading, feedbacks are welcome.
Time: October 8th
On the way to Water Wonderland
Location: Shinto Bus Station
Character: Rin
I wipe the sweat off of my forehead as I head towards the crowded streets in front of the Shinto station.
The shortening of days makes one feel the arrival of late autumn, but what’s with today?
Shiro: “Such a rare heat wave…”
I should have worn a hat. Just like that, while I look for some shade, I run into a familiar person.
Shiro: “Yo Tosaka, what are you looking at?”
Rin: “Ah…what’s this? If it isn’t Emiya-kun.”
Did something catch her interest? Her gaze shifted towards the area across from her.
Shiro: “That…Exciting and splashy fun-filled Water Wonderland?” (that was some sort of advertisement slogan, which I can’t really translate properly, but you get the idea)
Rin: “En…I didn’t notice it until today, so they built that kind of swimming pool here.”
It just opened this summer. An all season indoor water park. Everything from water slides to artificial wave pools are housed under it’s domed roof. It always feels like summer – or so the advertisement says.
Shiro: “Ah, it just opened in July. I remember seeing it’s advertisement in the newspaper.”
Rin: “That kind of exotic place probably has an entry fee. What do you think about it?”
Shiro: “How am I supposed to know? No one I know ever went there. Speaking of which, Tosaka’s house is of western style right? Does that mean you have your own swimming pool?”
Rin: “Oh? Yeah. That kind of stuff, I never used it because it’s a waste of money.”
Of course, she answers promptly. Oh, those kind of mansions having swimming pools isn’t always true, her reason is exactly one that would be expected bu a regular folk. Very good answer indeed.
Rin: “I’ll say this though, don’t compare it to that, mine is small. It’s only around 15 to 16 meters wide.”
Shiro: “It’s not about the size Tosaka. What I mean is, a regular house wouldn’t have something like a swimming pool right?”
Damn those capitalists, they probably slip and fall all the time on the side of their pools.
Rin: “What? You want to use my pool?”
Shiro: “That…Maybe once. I’d like to experience the feeling of swimming in a private swimming pool.”
Rin: “Ah, what a surprise. And I thought Emiya-kun wasn’t the type to like recreational activities.”
Shiro: “Ah, I still get the thrill once in a while. Before this, I was forced to watch a movie with Shinji. It’s about a story of the daughter of a tycoon living in a mansion and a loney, wandering drifter falling into the river of love.”
Rin: “One saying that he want’s to watch a movie isn’t a bad thing…I always felt it was the most delicate way for two men.”
Shiro: “Right right, listen. The man lived a life of pain, and somehow became one who inflicts pain on others. His spirit, which was enclosed, was released by the unbelievably moving charm of the female character.”
Rin: “Oh…Uh huh…”
Shiro: “Yeah, it was quite interesting. Then, out of nowhere, the female character’s feminine side acted up, and ensnared the male character, they finally fell in love and wanted to run away. On the last night, they were playing in the mansion’s swimming pool. The vivid scene itself could be made into a book, and it left a deep impression in me.”
Rin: “So that’s how it went…Not a bad movie, that…”
Of course, the inconsistancy and indeciciveness of the man was exposed and he was killed by the female character. The climatic ending of the corpose floating in the pool also left a deep mark in my heart.”
En, the one that should have died is the woman, right?
Rin: “…All right! It doesn’t sound too bad. Now I need reconsider the usage of the pool.”
Shiro: “Ah, really?”
Rin: “It’s good to occasionally relieve yourself of your burdens…Ok, I’ll allow it. If I can calmly train for a whole day, then I’ll give up my resolution. I’ll allow the usage of my pool be the reward of my strict training.”
What is with the sudden change of heart? Tosaka’s mood suddenly improves.
Shiro: “Umm…So that means, the prohibition on Tosaka’s pool has been lifted. Remember your words, don’t charge me for half of the water fee after I come over.”
Rin: “Nah, didn’t I already tell you that I’ll let it go? I won’t do something so despicable…Hehe, next summer might be worth looking forward for.”
Rin smiles happily, just like how a man in poverty would when he recieves a change in fortune.
Shiro: “Ah, it’d be great if we ask Saber to come along.”
It’s a rare opportunity, it’d be a pity if something this great happens to only me.
Rin: “…What did you mean by that?”
Shiro: “Because swimming alone would be boring.”
Rin: “A…lone?”
Shiro: “So it’d be more fun if we call everyone. Not just Saber, we should invite Sakura and Rider too.”
I use my fingers to count the people living at my house.
Shiro: “Ilya’s castle of eternal winter probably has a hotspring, but that kind of cold place probably doesn’t have a swimming pool, she’ll be happy if she gets invited. Ah, speaking of which, Fuji-nee will fuss about it if she’s not invited.”
Rin: “Wait, Emiya-kun.”
Shiro: “Ah, right. I got carried away, sorry.”
Rin: “Ha, there’s a limit of being carried away.”
Shiro: “Let’s invite Mitsuzuri-san and Makidera-san as well. The more the merrier.”
Rin: “It’s not like that at all is it, you idiot!”
Shiro: “Eh, What? I will clean up afterwards, so while we play in the pool Tosaka can rest in the house.”
Rin: “…”
Is there something unpleasant? Tosaka fell into a state of silence.
Shiro: “Ah…umm…It might get noisy, but it’s a rare opportunity to use a private pool right? We won’t be bothering anyone else, and there are so much more stuff we could do that can’t be done in the public, isn’t it great?”
Things that can’t be done in the public, such as sitting on inflation tubes while others are swimming, having barbeques, etc. Ah, just thinking about it makes me excited.
Shiro: “So, doesn’t it sound great?”
Rin: “LIKE HELL!!! WHAT THE @&$^ ARE YOU THINKING, YOU ANIMAL!!!”
*A punch finds its mark, stars appear, Shiro hits the ground, another punch follows*
Shiro: “Ha…”
My eyes were awaken by the burning heat, the scorching asphalt road burns…
Shiro: “It…hurts…”
Can’t help but flip over and lie on my back.
Rin: “In my yard…Under my eyes…what the hell are you planning, unbelievable, the reservist of that who has no moral nor principle (this implies again that Archer is Shiro from the future)! it’s decided, hence forth, other than Shiro, no one else can even think of stepping into my house.”
Shiro: “Huh!? Wait, why did you make this decision? I don’t remember doing anything that deserves special treatment.”
Rin: “Don’t…Remember…That….Ah! You’re so retarded it drives me nuts!” (retarded here means slow, I am using the word for with its meaning)
Shiro: “What exactly is going on here? Let’s calm down and reason it out, Tosaka.”
Rin: “Huh? You already got up? So sudden…”
Shiro: “Ah…Maybe I am a bit slow…”
Rin: “…a bit?”
Shiro: “OK sorry, very. How I say this…What I meant was, I won’t understand if you don’t say it clearly. I need Tosaka’s explaination.”
*puts on a pair of the stereotypical teacher’s glasses on Tosaka, a steak of light appears on the corner of the frame*
Rin: “En…Thank you…Wrong!”
“Do…Do…Does that mean…Emiya-kun…is helping me clean the pool, that’s why he’s treating the guests?”
Shiro: “…I…I don’t remember making such a promise.”
I can’t really say that, since I was planning on cleaning everything by myself.
I remember how I cleaned Homurabara Gakuen’s swimming pools before they opened.
After draining the 8 laned, 50m long pool, I had to pick out the garbage, use an iron bristled brush to wash off the algea and moss, and then sterilize, its a huge project. It’s supposed to be the swim club’s duty, but thinking back, I’ve helped them every year. So for that reason alone, I am a veteran.
Rin: “Even if you wanted to plan, you shouldn’t plan it to that extent right? Not giving anything in return, isn’t that breaking the agreement of equivalent trade?”
Umm…I can’t agree. She wanted to trick me from the start and make me her servant. So that’s why Tosaka had no hesitation.
Shiro: “But isn’t that good? If that’s the case everyone can help out, so please allow them to come.”
Rin: “You can’t understand human speech can you. What I mean is, I have no intention of generously putting my place on lease.”
Shiro: “Tosaha, aren’t you in good terms with everyone?”
Rin: “But that’s a different question! It’s so rare to get a private pool, what do you do after you increase the population density!”
Shiro: “That…To put it simply, Tosaka doesn’t like it loud. That’s fine, when Tosaka isn’t home, I’ll take care of everything. That’ll be the price I pay to allow Saber and the others entry. We’ll use it carefully, it’s fine like that right?”
Rin: “GREAT REASONING!!! START HATCHING OUT STUPID IDEAS WHEN YOU’RE OUT OF OPTIONS, IS IT BECAUSE OF THE HOT WEATHER, SCUM…!”
*Tosaka unleashes a Chinese two punch combo, stars come out, Shiro hits ground, followed by a torrent of blows*
Shiro: “Ugh…”
Ugh…ha…I…I’m doomed…it feels like Tosaka’s anger just raised a level.
Rin: “Listen, there’s nothing to think about! My pool is for Shiro only, I will never allow Saber and the others to use it! Do you understand!? If you do, respond with ‘yes!’”
Shiro: “Wha…Oh…Umm…The only one that’s allowed to use the pool is me…right?”
Rin: “Too slow! The pool is for ourselves, only we are allowed in it, now repeat!”
Shiro: “Oh, The pool is for ourselves, only we are allowed in it!”
Rin: “Too slow, again! Listen, The pool is for ourselves, only we are allowed in it, the only one who is to be invited is I, now repeat!”
Shiro: “OKOK, The pool is for ourselves, only we are allowed in it, the only one who who is to be invited is Tosaka, like that?”
Errr…What? It seems like…I said something at the end that doesn’t quite feel right.
Rin: “Good, see, you can do it if you put your mind to it, Emiya-kun.”
Now，in front of me, is the curved figure of Tosaka.
Shiro: “Wait…That was…no…Did I just send out an invitation…for a date?”
Rin: “Of course, you just said it loud and clear, Emiya-kun.”
Shiro: “Errr…Great…That, I’m glad, but, at Tosaka’s pool?”

She passionately reads the words from the billboard.
Shiro: “Ah…That…Sounds great.”
Rin: “You should say that with more expression! It says here that…the shallow ends are just like beaches where you can feel the waves, the mushroom slides are children’s favourites! All right, we’ll let our souls melt at the wonderland of eternal summer!”
Shiro: “All that were just advertisements right? Also, that…well…What happened earlier, that was a joke right?”
Rin: “It’s the truth, of course it’s the truth! Emiya-kun, right here, go out with me!”
Shiro: “W…w…wait…d…date is great, but to where? Isn’t all this impulsive?”
Rin: “Hmph! It’d be better if you were late on that. I just changed my swimsuit and it’s great. No one else saw it yet, so I’ll let Emiya-kun see its debut.”
Shiro: “Eh!?”
The shock feels just like getting my heart pierced by Gae Bolg.
Tosaka’s swimsuit…? Just by looking her in her casual clothes already takes my breath away, if I see her like that I’d drop dead in an instant!
Rin: “They’ll grow even bigger next summer, if I were to wear a swimsuit then, I’d probably can’t wear them because it’d be too H (Yes, Chinese people talk like this, I do too at times). Ah, doesn’t Shiro also like that kind of swimsuit?”
Still…Still growing!? Of course she isn’t talking about her height, such calmness…No! My heart is already pounding like crazy even with her clothes obscuring them, my spirit will definitely soar away if I see her like that!
Rin: “Let’s go on the water slide together. The height is 18m, throughout the course of 180m the max velocity is 40km/h. At that point, when our bodies get stuck together, who knows where we’d be touching, hehe.”
Does she want my heart to explode? Just touching makes me hand go numb, if it’s really like that, Tosaka will make me her slave after my soul leaves me!
Rin: “Ne…After all that talk, don’t you want to go out with me?”
Tosaka cutely and shyly lowers her eyes. I swallowed all the saliva that built up in my mouth, I continued to stare at her to try to see through her act.
Is this a trick? Tosaka did want to ask me to clean her pool. She will probably force me to do so after I agree. After that I’ll be trapped, like carp on the cutting board, or an inmate of Alcatraz. The price to pay for going on a date with Tosaka is too big, I probably can’t pay it in this life time…
Shiro: “No…No. Ho…How do you expect me to believe all that is real?”
Rin: “Hmph, that’s right. I’m just that untrustworthy. So as equal payment, Shiro must obey me on our date, and have to do all my biddings when you’re using my pool, isn’t that obvious?”
Shiro: “Eh?”
What? It’s done just like that?
Shiro: “What…If those are the conditions, then there’s no problems.”
Rin: “Ah…wait…Wait Emiya-kun. It’s fine like that?”
Shiro: “Of course, I was being cautious to ask once more, but is it fine like that?”
Rin: “Ah…This kind of stuff, it’s not like that at all…Whatever Shiro says…”
Shiro: “Then it’s decided. To spend an entire day with Tosaka with just those conditions, it feels like a bargain.”
Of course, being submissive to Tosaka, it’s the same as always. Adding words like ‘completely’ or ‘absolute’ in front doesn’t make a difference.
Rin: “Right. So it’s decided, forget everything unrelated to me and happily follow my orders.”
Shiro： “Even though that statement puts me in no position to say anything, but whatever. Just wait (for the date).”
My mind is already on the day of our date. What would Tosaka look like in that swimsuit? For someone who has no interest in what’s popular in the society, I can’t grasp the current trend.
Shiro: “So…Can Saber come along?”
Rin: “No, you have to completely submit to me.”
Tosaka’s mind is also on the day of our date, but that was a bit too cold.

Hahaha Shiro is still like a loser (to me) even in F/HA. Apparently Rin has a rather bizzare costume in one arc when she comes back from London or something. Is that true (I haven’t touched the games at all).

Q: That’s probably the “other” relic that Zelretch left for the Tohsaka family, the Kaleidostaff. That enables its user to literally become “anyone” from another dimension, which means infinite possibilities… at a price of the Kaleidostaff controlling its user, as seen with Rin or as she is called, “Kaleido Ruby”. ^_^;
Also, this scene definitely shows both sides of Rin’s tsuntsun and deredere sides. She gets angry on the thought of Shirou bringing others to a supposed “date” (him being the dense guy he is), but she still becomes happy when Shirou finally accepts her invitation.
IIRC, that Water Wonderland is own by none other than the King of Heroes, Gilgamesh (the young version, who drank a youth potion from inside his Gate of Babylon).
Lastly, good job on the translations. Keep it up. ^_^
IIRC Kaleido Ruby is somewhat like a mixture of the Kaleidostick’s personality and Rin’s alter ego. It’s weird, but I don’t think Rin is herself when she transforms.
As for Gilgamesh, let’s just say that Rank A Golden Rule is freaking sweet ^_^.
